Terms and Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Brown Knows Service

1. Scope of Work

All services provided by Brown Knows Service are limited to the scope outlined in the estimate, work order, or invoice.

Any additional work required beyond the original scope will be discussed and approved before proceeding.

2. Pricing & Approval

All work is quoted using a flat-rate pricing system.

  • Pricing is provided before work begins
  • No work will be completed without customer approval
  • Additional issues discovered during service will be quoted separately

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We accept:

  • Debit
  • Credit
  • E-transfer

Late payments may be subject to additional fees and collection processes.

4. Estimates

Estimates are based on visible and accessible conditions at the time of inspection.

Hidden issues or unforeseen conditions may require:

  • revised pricing
  • additional work approval

5. Cancellations & Missed Appointments

We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Missed appointments or inability to access the property may result in a service charge.

6. Access & Site Conditions

Customers are responsible for providing safe and clear access to work areas.

We are not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by:

  • blocked access
  • unsafe working conditions
  • restricted areas

7. Warranty

We stand behind our workmanship.

  • Workmanship warranty: 30–90 days (depending on service)
  • Manufacturer warranties apply to parts and equipment

Warranty does not cover:

  • pre-existing conditions
  • misuse, neglect, or improper operation
  • customer-supplied materials

8. Liability

Brown Knows Service is not responsible for:

  • pre-existing issues or system failures
  • hidden defects or conditions not visible at time of service
  • indirect or consequential damages

Liability is limited to the value of the service provided.

9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • provide accurate information about the issue
  • ensure access to the work area
  • follow recommended maintenance and usage guidelines

10. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if:

  • conditions are unsafe
  • work falls outside our scope
  • payment terms are not met

11. Use of Subcontractors

We may use qualified subcontractors when necessary to complete work. All work remains subject to our standards and policies.

12. Changes to Terms

Brown Knows Service reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be made available upon request or posted online.
